You will need to read the manual as there are a number of settings that need to be adjusted to go from outdoors to indoors and still get great photos, but once you get the hang of it, the P90 takes just awesome photos.

The video on it is limited, maybe not quite as good as some of the other point and shoot cameras, but still photos are definitely right up there in quality.

It has a huge 24x zoom, the equivalent of 26-624mm on a 35mm film camera. And at smaller picture sizes, the optical zoom becomes MUCH greater, maybe 1000mm or more. On the other end of the scale (26mm), the P90 gives a wide field of view that allows you to capture most things that you might want.

The other area the P90 shines in is taking macro pictures (such as of flowers), especially with the tilting LCD. You’ll have no trouble getting the P90 to focus correctly in macro mode, and the new manual focus is also a welcome addition, as is the much larger LCD monitor.

The Nikon Coolpix P90 features list goes on: you can crop, rotate, and/or retouch pictures in camera while reviewing them, as well as the real-time red-eye correction, blink warning, etc.
