You don’t have to do a thing but press the shutter halfway to focus, then once the focus is locked, press the button all the way down. It has some really cool features like face detection and image stabilisation that makes it pretty hard to take a bad photo even if your hands aren’t really steady.

Action shots are a breeze and it automatically does up to 6 scene recognition modes: Portrait, Landscape, Night, Macro, Night Portrait, and Backlit Portrait.

Macro shots can be a bit tricky and the safest way to get good ones is to take them from a bit further out then crop to what you want.

The lithium-ion re-chargeable battery lasts for ages, flash reset time is quick, and the menus are pretty much all intuitive, we didn’t need a manual to figure out how to use the camera and get really good shots.

All in all a great, simple to use camera for a nice price and with the case and extra memory thrown in it’s a fantastic deal.
